Hi there,
Two blog posts in a few weeks – what’s happening to me :o … Nothing really, just feeling a bit more motivated at the moment!
Anyways …
I am back with two summer looks! I know it will come to an end soon, but September always have a way to surprise us by becoming one of our best (unofficial) summer month.
For today’s post I’m sharing outfits in which I incorporated a touch of colour. I feel that recently summer looks have become very neutral, we’re not getting from brands clothes with the bright colours like we used to back in the good old days (love talking like an old lady!). Also, people do not try to play with colour as much as we used to (Is everyone super sad??).
So here’s my two cents to the fashion community to help you create looks that use a neutral base (white), but also have of bit of punch to it.
#1 The tennis city girl
I bought this A-line skirt from Asos Design last year. I really like it but to be fair, it didn’t look as mini on the model as it does on me. I sometimes do wonder if we’re not buying to two different version of a product on Asos … anyway love the skirt and the sportsy look it gives. The top is an oldie from Zara, I absolutely have no memories as to where and when I bought it, I just remember that it must have been a sale item because I tried to find a size up and couldn’t. The colour was so perfect that I didn’t want to leave it in the store so I ended up buying it (unfortunately this is the story of a lot of my clothes … – to my biggest pleasure, not my bank account’s).
#2 Loving you was red
Red has been the colour of the season since last autum, so it’s only appropriate that I make it the perfect colour for summer as well, right?
The skirt is an oldie, but goodie from Asos and the ribbed top is from NA-KD. I feel like the turtle neck top kinds of elevated the style of this top and makes it less casual. It’s probably why it’s one of my favourite “tank” top to wear to work with a blazer it’s the perfect combination.
What do you think of these two looks :)?
